These are direct bolt on replacements for the stock plastic shocks and require no modifications, and even come with instructions.
These high-quality aluminum big bore shocks, and machined aluminum caps, are packaged in a convenient 8 pack for Maxx truck owners (or other vehicles needing 8 good shocks). That's right, not a pair, but all 8 shocks! These shocks are hard-anodized and Teflon-coated for the smoothest operation possible and they feature internal diaphragms that help keep the oil and the air seperated for increased performance. These shocks also include the super smooth long wearing titanium nitride coated shock Shafts. The shocks are completely assembled and include the red, 2.5 rate shock springs.
Also includes additional shock pistons for extra tuning capabilitys, and clip on pre-load spacers that make ride height adjustments a snap.
For Maximum performance, try the progressive rate springs from R/C Raven, like these rav1402 (they also make other colors). When using heavier spring rates for jumping or racing on the track, you may want to use heavier weight oil, like 50wt tri7650 or 60wt tri7660 .
