The Axial R&D team spent a lot of time at the drawing board as they know this is where all the abuse from opposing forces are focused on as the power is transmitted from the motor to the wheels while rocks and debris are punishing your drivetrain/driveShafts. The Axial engineers based the Coupler on the proven Constant-velocity joint design which is more compact and has a more consistent rotational speed while achieving the same articulation angles as the standard Y-Yoke thus reducing harmonic vibration.
