Axial R/C Inc. is extremely pleased to partner with Randy Slawson,
Bomber Fabrication’s owner and two-time King of the Hammers rock racing
champion! For this rig, we took everything we learned from building the
industry’s first all plastic tube chassis rig and drew upon mountains of
inspiration from enthusiasts to go next level! The Axial RR10 Bomber is
not just another plastic tube chassis Wraith update - it merely adds to
our line of successful 2.2 rock racing vehicles. While visually this
rig is a race replica of the Bomber Fab KOH rock racing rig, one of the
unseen features is the front mounted battery tray under the hood making
for easy access and weight right where you asked for it! This makes
swapping the batteries in this rig a quick and easy process, especially
for those enthusiasts participating in the ultra endurance series within
Axialfest! The skid plate provides a centralized location for the
electronics with clean wire routing and an RR10 specific transfer case
for optimal driveline efficiency. We’ve also included a full set of
BFGoodrich BAJA T/A KR2 tires along with a spare in the back, wrapped
around officially licensed Walker Evans Racing wheels. We've included a
variety of shock mounting points for running dual shock setups and more
suspension tuning options. For additional rear suspension tuning, you'll
find a sway bar mount connected to the cage, under the fuel cell (sway
bar sold separately). Officially licensed aluminum King Shocks feature
precision machined pistons which offer smooth performance throughout the
range of travel. Standard features include durable front and rear WB8
HD Wildboar driveshafts, front and rear AR60 axles, a dual slipper
clutch, transmission with all metal internal gears, a 3-channel radio
system, realistic scale details including molded driver figures, three
pairs of helmets, molded shock reservoirs, a fuel cell, Bomber
Fabrication body panels and graphics, and a fully licensed scale tube
chassis.
FEATURES: - AR60 OCP-Axle (Off Center Pumpkin Design)
True 4-wheel drive locked differentials are included for improved
traction and an offset pumpkin provides more ground clearance and a
better driveshaft angle. Additionally, the rear axle has been shaved of
any unnecessary items and steering linkages that normally stick down
have been removed for as much ground clearance as possible. The AR60
OCP-Axle is constructed from high strength composite material which has a
low flex rate but is not as brittle as standard glass filled nylon. The
AR60 OCP-Axle tubes are reinforced and beefed up with a boxed-in axle
truss to distribute stress over a larger area. The combination of our
axles and a true 4-link suspension gives you optimal performance for any
terrain with the look of a real 1:1 vehicle.
- 4-Link Suspension
The suspension geometry utilizes a 4-Link design which is optimized to
reduce axle steer and to have the proper amount of anti-squat and roll
characteristics. The 4-Link system also aids against suspension wrap-up
in high power applications.
- Optimized Steering Geometry
The front axle steering geometry is engineered for high speed
performance with close attention to maximum pivot angle, minimal scrub,
adjustable castor and Ackerman set as close to 0-degrees as possible.
This geometry theory achieves a desired tight turning radius with locked
differentials and better steering control at high speeds.
- Full Tube Frame Composite Chassis
The most realistic high strength composite tube frame chassis on the
market. Our high strength composite plastic is impact resistant to help
protect the Wraith from crash damage. Assembled with all hex hardware.
- Slipper Clutch
Allows the motor to work more efficiently and greatly enhances the
durability of the drivetrain allowing the transmission to slip in hard
binds.
- Waterproof Radio Box
Protects the receiver from dust and debris and is waterproof for the ultimate in weather protection.
- Easy Diff Access
A locked differential will provide the most positive wheel traction in
all off-road environments and conditions. The locked differential also
provides less maintenance over oil-filled or silicone based
differentials. Easily serviced by removing four screws to gain access
for maintenance, rebuilding and performance tuning.
- BFGOODRICH BAJA T/A KR2 TIRES - S30 COMPOUND
In the full-size world of off-road racing, BFGoodrich tires have proven
to be the ‘go-to’ tire for numerous racing victories, including Randy
Slawson piloting them to victory at the 2013 and 2015 King of the
Hammers. Axial’s version of this tire captures the same aggressive look
and provides remarkable performance on a wide variety of surfaces. This
is the perfect tire for this style of vehicle due to its high level of
performance and diversity.
- KING ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM SHOCKS
The included aluminum King Shocks feature precision machined pistons
which offer smooth performance throughout the range of travel. Made to
tight tolerances, these aluminum shocks feature clear coated polished
aluminum bodies and are threaded for quick ride height adjustments and
pre-load tuning ability. The rear shocks are mounted on the links rather
than at the axle, allowing for more suspension travel which is better
for high speed handling.
