Designed by our very own Bob Stormer, as what we call a "Spec", "Enduro" or "Dad motor". These are not some cheesy machine wound low grade lathe motor. These things were tested in various wire diameters, cans, brushes for nearly a year until we got it the way we wanted them. And then Fantom hand wound and built each and every one. Great motors for spec, enduro or to get the kids started or to slow down a car that is just to fast. Face it, 27 turn stock motors are just to fast and hard to drive for a lot of people. And, the amp draw is very high making run time shorter too.
These motors give excellent run time and trouble free long life between standard maintenance. These motors are VERY efficient. Usually the battery is warmer than the motor at the end of a run.
We've run and tested these motors in 1/12th cars and had 15 minute qualifiers and 20 minute mains at stock motor racing speeds. You read that right, 20 minute mains on 4200's. What a bargain!
Excellent driFT motors too. We've drifted these motors and can get 40-45 minutes of run time depending on how loose you are.
There are 4 winds in this series. a 25, 28, 32 and a 44. all are hand wound, balanced and tuned. On one of our test motors, we had 9 hours of track time on it, and it still dyno'd great. Never did cut the comm'... That's our kind of motor. There just isn't enough heat to tear up the brushes and comm' like a regular bushing stock motor.
